Need a hand with Cows? Here's what you need to know to get the most out of the app, plus how to reach us if something isn't working right.

Minimum System Requirements

• Requires iOS 18 or later
• Compatible with iPhone and iPad (portrait)
• Versus mode needs two devices with Wi-Fi turned on (no Wi-Fi network needed)

Playing Versus

• Both players need Cows open on the lobby screen, close together, with Wi-Fi switched on. You don’t need an internet connection or a Wi-Fi network.
• When iOS asks, allow Local Network access. If you tapped Don’t Allow, turn it back on in Settings → Cows.
• Destination mode needs Location access (While Using the App). Settings → Cows → Location.
• Can’t find each other? Make sure Wi-Fi is on on both devices (Control Center is fine; you don’t need to join a network), then close and reopen Cows on both and try again.
