Cows
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Cows is a free two-player road-trip game: each player takes a side of the car and counts the cows they spot out the window. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled.
Information We Collect
Cows does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers or anyone else’s. The app has no accounts, no sign-in of its own, no analytics, no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no tracking.
Location
In Destination mode, Cows asks for your location while the app is open so it can show how far you are from your destination and estimate your arrival time. Your location is used on your device only and is never sent to us. The app does not use your location when it is closed.
Playing With a Nearby Player
Versus mode connects two devices directly over Wi-Fi using Apple’s peer-to-peer networking, which is why iOS asks for Local Network access. Game messages travel between the two devices over an encrypted connection and do not pass through any server. If you set a destination in Destination mode, its name and coordinates, along with the live distance and estimated arrival time, are sent to the other player’s device so you both see the same trip. That information is deleted when the game ends.
Game Center
Cows can show your Game Center name and avatar in the lobby and during play. This is handled by Apple’s Game Center service under Apple’s privacy policy. Cows only displays it; we do not receive, copy, or store it.
Third-Party Services
Cows does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. Apple may provide us with anonymous crash and usage statistics through TestFlight and the App Store if you have chosen to share them with developers in your device settings.
Children’s Privacy
Cows does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
